Tom Lowenstein is a poet, anthropologist, and cultural historian. He has been a student of Buddhism for more than thirty years. Tom studied Pali and Sanskrit in Sri Lanka and at the University of Washington. His books include The Vision of the Buddha, Buddhist Inspirations, and Classic Haiku, and several collections of poetry.
