George Edward Stanley received his doctorate in African linguistics from the University of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. He is now Professor of African and Middle-Eastern Languages and Linguistics at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. A well-known children's author, Stanley has 100 books to his credit, including critically acclaimed biographies of Leonardo Da Vinci, Andrew Jackson, Crazy Horse, Harry S. Truman, and Mr. Rogers.
