I'm so Embarrased

AndrewĀs mom is SO embarrassing - he canĀt take her anywhere!! ItĀs time for Andrew to get new sneakers, but when his mother offers to take him to the mall, Andrew is hesitant. His mother always embarrasses him whenever they are in public, but she promises to be good, so off they go! TheyĀre not even inside the mall before his mom is spitting on her hand and smoothing down his hair! ItĀs one hilariously mortifying moment after another: an aunt plants lipstick kisses all over AndrewĀs face, baby pictures get shown to his teacher, girlsĀ underpants are waved around. ItĀs just too much! Then Andrew runs into his friend,Taylor Jae, whoĀs having the same embarrassing experience with her mom. They decide to hide in a trashcan until itĀs over, scheming to give their moms a taste of their own embarrassing medicine!

About The Author:

Robert Munsch was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1945. He received an undergraduate degree in history and a master's degree in anthropology. While studying to be a Jesuit priest, he worked part-time at an orphanage. He decided he liked working with children and left the Jesuits after 7 years to work in a daycare center. He studied for a year at the Elliot Pearson School of Child Studies at Tufts University. He ended up at a lab preschool at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario and eventually became a Canadian citizen. While working at a daycare center and telling stories to children, he realized that storytelling was what he loved to do and eventually he started writing the stories down. His first published title was Mud Puddle. His other works include Love You Forever, Angela's Airplane, Andrew's Loose Tooth, Stephanie's Ponytail, and Moira's Birthday. He continues to visit schools, libraries and daycares telling stories for free.
