It took almost a month to receive the books. Once gotten, the "treasure box" that the books were in was cracked and broken on the top corners. This is unfortunate as the cool box was a selling point on buying this item as opposed to just the books. The books were sealed and in good condition. I won't complain too loudly as they were a little more than half the price of buying them in a bookstore.
I bought this set for my son's 12th birthday and was impressed with the presentation. He was thrilled. The shipment arrived in half the time I was expecting. I have only had great experiences ordering through Amazon.
I bought this set for my husband's birthday,but our grandson was so thrilled about them---they are sharing them. They keep checking in with each other as to which one the other is reading now,so they can discuss what both have read so far! How cool is that!? The surprise turned out to be for me!! Great gift idea!
I really enjoyed the reading, the stories are very funny, fast and inventive. Also enjoyed reading it from a great edition, all five books, hard-covered, it was really nice.
I love these books and wanted to get them in hardcover. The box, like others said, was bent when I got it. I'm looking for another.
