Mark Frost was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1960 and grew up there during the apartheid era. This oppressive political system was unarguably a contributing factor leading to him getting involved in the teenage gangsterism which was so rife in the Cape. At twenty-three years of age a violent and destructive lifestyle had led to a face-to-face confrontation with death. In this fateful confrontation the scripture "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" became a saving reality. After a dramatic salvation experience that led to him doing several years of Bible-correspondence courses and a year at Mission school through the American mission organization Fill the Gap Ministries, Mark ended up as a missionary Bible teacher in Mozambique. There he focused on leadership training within the body of Christ. For several years he helped co-ordinate leadership seminars in this East-African nation for the American organization World Map (World Missionary Assistance Plan) founded by Ralph Mahoney, as well as for other international mission organisations. Today the author is married and lives in Sweden together with his wife and two children.
