The photographs match the text and each chapter is composed of two pages—one for the text and one for the photograph. The photographs provide extra help for better comprehension. All vocabulary words are printed in bold and can be found in the "Glossary" at the end of the book. The reader is also given an "Index," "Internet Site," and a "Read More" section that gives titles of books to read for more information about the Basin Indians. Each chapter deals with only one topic, thereby making it an excellent resource for children to use when they need to write a book report or summary. The chapters provide an excellent resource for classroom teachers to reinforce finding the main ideas in paragraphs. This book is part of the "Native American Life" series.
