Asha Khatau is a well-known figure in the field of gourmet vegetarian cooking. After 20 years of experience in providing memorable meals to her family and friends Asha was eventually persuaded to start her own cooking classes about three years ago, which runs under the name of Epicure. These classes feature regional cuisines from all over the world including Thai, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, Continental, Swiss, Mexican, Lebanese etc. She has also conducted several demonstrations worldwide for which she gets an overwhelming response.Asha has traveled extensively, and during her travels she makes it a point to visit local restaurants and bazaars to get authentic tastes and ingredients, which in turn impart original flavours to her recipes.Apart from running cooking classes, Asha is sincerely into fitness. She works out regularly at home. She is a busy housewife and mother to three children as well as attends her husbands office. Asha comes from a Hindu joint family with traditional values. She has done her BA with Psychology and is also a Sanskrit scholar. She took up Chinese watercolour painting a few years ago and is an accomplished artist.
